Anton Dorokh (he/they)

Anton Dorokh (he/they) is a Ukrainian theatre and film director residing in Berlin, who is passionate about bringing erased stories to the spotlight.

After surviving the russian war against Ukraine, migrating to Germany and working in journalism and activism, they developed a unique artistic approach that combines queer and decolonial perspectives.

Their method leans on scientific and field research, and they are keen on highlighting the political component of personal stories. Their visual language is colourful yet modest, storytelling is structural and emotional, productions are tender and clever.

Combining documentary and archival media with a contemporary presence, they treat theatre and film as a source of new ideas about how to bring more freedom and justice to the world.
